It's all about motivation. What motivates these teams?

Looking for some good teams to beat up on some weak ones. Taking a few 1st half scores due to the fact that these teams will be looking to next week and will want to run up the score early to rest in the 2nd half.

Wake Forest -19 over ECU
Wake beat NC St. and lost a close one to Purdue. ECU is one of the worst teams in the nation and has lost all of their games by at least 35 points.

Texas -29 at Rice
Texas is looking for a team to beat up on after their loss at home to Arkansas and Rice is that team. Texas plays Tulane next week so they won't have to look ahead to that game. Houston beat Rice by 34.

UConn -14 at Buffalo (1st Half)
UConn scored 34 points in the 1st half at Army and Buffalo is even worse. Buffalo is ranked 117 out of 117 in the Sportsline 117 poll. UConn will be playing no. 8 Va. Tech next week so I will go with the 1st half score here.

Tulane -10 at Army (1st Half)
Taking the 1st half score here again as Tulane will be looking ahead to Texas next week. Army is one of the worst teams in the country so the 10 points should be no problem for Tulane.

Florida -3.5 over Tennessee
Hard to go against the Gators in the Swamp. I feel that they still have a need to prove themselves against a ranked team after the loss to Miami.

Kentucky -4.5 at Indiana (1st Half)
Kentucky looked respectable against Alabama. They will be looking ahead to Florida next week so I will go with the 1st half score here as well.

No. Texas +21 at Arkansas
Sandwich game here. Arkansas won't be coming out with full guns after pouring it out at Texas last week. Arkansas will be looking ahead to Alabama next week.

I dont like Rice b/c of the Texas defense and from what I've heard Rice has some boys that are fired up. If Texas can run the ball and stop the run they cover. I havent seen either happen in the first two, hence my wager on Rice. The whole "not talking to the media thang" denotes a focused effort for Texas. I see this as 43-17 but you may be right. I like to take advantage of first halves in basketball when there are more games, but you may have a good strategy here. Best of luck, I'm sure you'll be with us for quite a while, nice WNBA run.

Thanks General.

ATX, good points about Rice. They must feel confident that if Arkansas can do well against Texas maybe they can too.

Good luck.
